1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Sinar Wawasan website at sinarwas.info and your enrolment in any of our financial education programmes. By accessing our website or registering for a programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before enrolling. If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact us before proceeding. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version is always available on this page, and the "Last Updated" date will reflect any changes.
2. Who We Are
Sinar Wawasan is a financial education provider based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We offer structured learning programmes in personal finance, retirement planning, and portfolio understanding, delivered by licensed financial planners and experienced educators.
- Business name: Sinar Wawasan
- Address: Jalan Tun Razak 28, 50400 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- Phone: +60 3-2184 6379
- Email: [email protected]
Our programmes constitute financial education, not personalised financial advice. Any one-to-one sessions included in a programme are educational in nature and are conducted by licensed financial planners for illustrative and planning-guidance purposes.
3. Enrolment and Registration
To enrol in any Sinar Wawasan programme, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Complete payment of the applicable programme fee in full prior to access
- Agree to these Terms at the point of registration
A place in any programme is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation sent to your registered email address. We reserve the right to decline any enrolment at our discretion, and will provide a full refund in such circumstances.
You are responsible for ensuring that the contact details and postal address you provide are accurate, as printed materials will be dispatched to the address on file.
4. Programme Fees and Payment
Programme fees are listed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) inclusive of applicable taxes where required by Malaysian law. Current fees are as follows:
- Foundations of Financial Wellbeing After 40: RM 745
- Retirement Planning Pathway: RM 1,680
- Legacy Portfolio Programme: RM 3,285
Fees are due in full at the time of enrolment unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing with our team prior to registration. We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, and other methods as displayed during the enrolment process.
We reserve the right to revise programme fees. Any revision will apply only to new enrolments; your confirmed fee will not change once payment has been received.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
We understand that circumstances change, and we try to approach these situations with consideration.
- Cancellation 14 or more days before the programme start date: Full refund of fees paid, less any bank processing charges.
- Cancellation 7–13 days before the programme start date: 50% refund of fees paid.
- Cancellation fewer than 7 days before start, or after the programme has commenced: No refund is available. You may, however, transfer your place to the next available cohort at no additional charge, subject to availability.
- Printed materials already dispatched: These are non-refundable once shipped.
To cancel or request a cohort transfer, please contact us in writing at [email protected]. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 business days.
In exceptional circumstances (serious illness, bereavement), we will consider requests outside this schedule. Please reach out to us directly — we will do our best to find a fair arrangement.
6. Programme Delivery
Our programmes are delivered primarily through pre-recorded online lessons, supplemented by live Q&A sessions and, where included, one-to-one advisory sessions with a licensed financial planner. Specific delivery details for each programme are described on our Solutions page.
- Programme access is provided to the registered individual only and may not be shared with or transferred to others.
- Live sessions are scheduled at fixed times. Where a participant cannot attend, a recording will be made available within 5 business days where technically feasible.
- One-to-one advisory sessions must be scheduled within the programme period; sessions not used within 30 days of programme close will lapse.
- Printed materials are dispatched by post to your registered address, typically within the first two weeks of the programme.
We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the scheduled delivery of all programme components. If we need to reschedule a live session, we will notify you by email with at least 48 hours' notice.
7. Programme Content and Changes
Sinar Wawasan reserves the right to update, revise, or supplement programme content to reflect current Malaysian regulations, market conditions, or improvements in delivery. Such changes will not materially reduce the scope of your enrolled programme.
In the unlikely event that we must cancel a programme cohort entirely, all enrolled participants will receive a full refund of fees paid and will be offered priority enrolment in the next available cohort.
Guest speakers and external contributors may change from those named in our promotional materials. We will endeavour to provide speakers of equivalent standing and expertise.
8. Educational Nature of Our Programmes
Sinar Wawasan's programmes are designed to build financial knowledge and understanding. They are educational in nature and do not constitute personalised financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
Any worked examples, case studies, or illustrative figures presented in programme materials are for educational purposes only and do not represent actual outcomes. Financial decisions should always be made in light of your own personal circumstances, and we encourage you to consult a licensed professional before making material financial commitments.
One-to-one sessions with our licensed financial planners are included in certain programmes as an educational and planning-guidance component. These sessions do not create an ongoing advisory relationship and are not a substitute for independent financial advice.
9. Intellectual Property
All content within our programmes — including video lessons, written materials, workbooks, compendiums, worksheets, and recorded sessions — is the intellectual property of Sinar Wawasan or its licensed contributors and is protected under applicable Malaysian copyright law.
- You may use programme materials for your own personal study and reference.
- You may not reproduce, share, distribute, sell, or publicly display any programme content without our prior written consent.
- Recording of live sessions is not permitted without explicit written permission.
The Sinar Wawasan name, logo, and visual identity are the property of Sinar Wawasan and may not be used without permission.
10. Participant Conduct
We are committed to maintaining a respectful and supportive learning environment for all participants. By enrolling, you agree to:
- Engage with fellow participants and staff with courtesy and respect
- Refrain from sharing, posting, or distributing programme content outside the enrolled cohort
- Not disrupt or interfere with the learning experience of others during live sessions
- Use any online forum or communication channels provided in a constructive manner
We reserve the right to withdraw access from any participant who repeatedly disregards these expectations, without refund. We will always seek to address concerns directly before taking such a step.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Sinar Wawasan's liability in connection with any programme or our website is limited to the total fees paid by you for the relevant programme.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial losses arising from your use of our educational content or your independent financial decisions made after or during any programme. Our programmes are educational resources, and outcomes depend on individual circumstances, effort, and external factors beyond our control.
We take care to ensure our materials are accurate and up to date. However, financial regulations and market conditions change, and we cannot warrant that every detail remains current at any given time. We will correct errors brought to our attention promptly.
12. Website Use
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from our website
- Transmit any harmful, unlawful, or disruptive content through our contact or enquiry forms
Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites and recommend reviewing their terms independently.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your enrolment in our programmes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
We would always prefer to resolve any concerns informally before any formal process. Please contact us first and we will do our best to find a fair resolution.
